ADP: Hey Godelive, what art world advice would you give to your younger self?

KKG: Hi,Um... get enough rest or take a vacation when necessary. The art world can sometimes operate like a hurricane, which is why timing is so important.



Biography

Godelive Kasangati Kabena is an artist from the Democratic Republic of Congo. She currently lives and works between Kinshasa and Kumasi, where she continues her studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Her work is rooted in speculative research, exploring the engagement of different bodies—bodies that open an emancipatory field while contributing to a discursive arena on reproduction, how it can be manufactured through archival pictures and notions of axiomatic equality.
